Abstract
Investigations are conducted on development of a composition of refractory concrete for concrete blocks and a method of their production. As the basic components for the refractory concrete mixture sintered periclase powder and an aqueous solution of sodium polyphosphate were used. It was established that local hydration of the coarse grains of dolomite in the use of periclase powder of the 3-10-mm fraction does not make it possible to obtain high-quality concrete parts. In laboratory tests, the concrete of the composition developed showed high resistance to molten chlorides and fluorides, aluminum, and aluminum-copper alloy. A concrete crucible is shown after reacting with aluminum at 900 degrees C for 18 h.
