Abstract

The purpose of this study to formulated a strategy for the development of biopharma for the Madurese tribe to meet traditional medicinal raw materials. Research location in Sumenep Regency on the island of Madura East Java. The sampling method used was key informant. The key informants are biopharmaceutical plant farmers, the agriculture service, community leaders, traditional healers, and herbal medicine traders. The research was conducted using quantitative analysis and SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) analysis, through an External Factor Analysis Strategic (EFAS) and the Internal Factor Analysis Strategic (IFAS). Analytical results from this research conclude that Madura Tribe Community Biopharmaca Development Strategy is government support with the Mou, geographical patents of biopharmaca plants, and utilizing human resources by being a member of farmer group to contibute more
