Abstract

The routing protocol is the hot spot in study of WS. In recent years, many researchers focus on location free data-centric routing protocol and proposed a series of methods. However, these methods are either fragile in WSN of complex topology features or not distance-sensitive. In this paper, we propose a medial axis and double ruling based routing (MADR) for data-centric WSN without geographical locations, which can guarantee delivery in complex environment, achieves good load balancing, and is distance-sensitive. We show by theoretical analysis that our medial axis and double ruling based routing scheme need low communication costs, achieves excellent load balancing, and is very robust to variations in the network model.
