Abstract
The calculation of the radiative transitions V→P+ γ, P→V+ γ with the cloudy bag model leads to a new picture for these decays, emphasizing the role of SU(2)×SU(2) symmetry. Three different dynamical mechanisms are shown to contribute singly or in combination to the eleven possible transitions among the lowest multiplets of pseudoscalar and vector mesons. The observed rates are well described.
