Abstract
An LSB coded 8PSK scheme was proposed in , and achieved a 0.3 dB coding gain at a BER of 10-5. It also saved a 26% bandwidth in comparison to uncoded QPSK. The authors demonstrate an LSB coded HFPSK scheme, and the analysis of its performance is provided. The result of analysis shows that a 7/8 LSB coded 16, 32 ary HFPSK scheme achieves better coding gain and spectral efficiency than the 8PSK scheme.
