Abstract

A millimeter-wave low-sidelobe substrate integrated conformal array antenna is demonstrated in this paper. This array mounted on a cylindrical surface with a radius of 20 mm, i.e. 2.3λ, is synthesized at the center frequency of 35 GHz. All components, including a 1-to-4 divider, a phase compensated network and a 4×8 slot array antenna are fabricated in a single dielectric substrate together. In simulation, it has a -30 dB side-lobe level (SLL) beam in H-plane and a-25 dB SLL in E-plane at 35 GHz. The cross-polar is lower than -40 dB at the beam direction. This type of antenna is a good choice in the development of millimeter-wave conformal applications.
