Abstract

Heat pulse studies in liquid and solid helium have been carried out with IRC resistor boards consisting of colloidal suspensions of carbon applied to phenolic substrates. The film resistances were measured using a two-lead measuring technique and the sensitivity calculated from this data as a function of temperature. Thermal response times were also studied as function of ambient temperature and nominal film resistance rating.
