Abstract

Abstract The dynamical mechanism of ferroelectric phase transition in KDP-type crystals has been explained by the order-disorder model of locally distorted PO4 tetrahedrons through fitting of the factorized form of dielectric function including the relaxation mode. From this analysis no soft mode appears but the critical slowing down of the relaxation mode occurs toward to the transition temperature.
