Abstract
The singlet and triplet scattering lengths of the ΛN system ins-state have been determined by the dispersion-thoretical approach of theS-matrix. A variant of theN/D method of the solution of the dispersion relations as proposed and utilized by Balazs has been adopted here. The results are compatible with the phenomenological findings of Dalitz and Downs. The singlet phase shift is in reasonable agreement while the triplet phase shift comes out too large.
