Abstract

BASF Corporation has been very active in the evaluation of alter native blowing agents for rigid urethane foams. Previous papers have reported the status of the two major candidates to replace CFC-11 in urethane formulations, HCFC-141b, and HCFC-123. While both these materials are workable technical re placements, they are not fully available commercially and won't be until 1992, or 1993.
