Abstract
Love wave sensor combined with molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) is introduced. The overall aim of this work is to develop and validate a quantitative, non-invasive diagnosis tool to specific detection of colon cancer biomarkers. This work exhibits the validation of a MIP thin film's coating process, allowing high sensitivity of the resulting sensor. Morphology and print effect of the MIP film (sensitive layer) is the key of the sensor sensitivity to target biomarkers. Thereby, the real time detection measurement of the coated sensor under ethanol such as deep characterization of the film is presented. The raise of the MIP film thickness and detection of biomarkers analogs lead to a change of the sensors' responses to vapors. For example, 2126 ppm of ethanol generates frequency shifts of -1.4/-2.5kHz with MIP 200nm/600nm thickness. For the same ethanol concentration frequency shifts of -0.5/-1.3/-0.8 kHz were observed for MIP, MIP after extraction and MIP after rebinding respectively.
