Abstract
Third New International Dictionary, shock, horror, and amazement sat upon the publishing world. The resulting recrimination and despair would have been more suitable to a prophet lamenting the depravities of a wayward people. It seems gratuitous, indeed, that such abuse should be mounted against those who labored for over a quarter of a century and employed the most modern methods of language research.
