Abstract

After cultivation in vitro for 3 years, L-P59 cells failed to produce tumors in C3Hf/Bu mice. Meanwhile, the cells retained their antigenic abilities, i.e. they induced resistance in the recipient to subsequent challenge with tumorigenic L-P59 cell line. After 2 weeks of cultivation in agar, those nontumorigenic cells became again able to transplant the tumor in C3Hf/Bu recipients.
