Abstract

Juan Ramón Jiménez is considered one of the most important poets in the modern Spanish literature. His works are characterized by poetic creativity and the ability to deal with poetic topics. Jiménez wrote poetry from the beginning of his youth and became known in the world of European poetry since the beginning of the twentieth century. The poet wrote on several topics and adopted many innovative poetic schools that left an impact on his history. The Symbolism, which appeared at that time in France, was one of the schools that affected the poet, for this reason, Jiménez wrote many symbolic poems in his native language. By this study, we give an idea of the symbolist movement and analyze some symbolic verses that published in different collections of the poet Juan Ramón Jiménez.
