Abstract

Some of the opportunities that arise for specialists in Legal and Forensic Medicine and the Institutes of Legal Medicine are shown before the recent approval by the Congress of Deputies of the Law of Democratic Memory framed in the field of Restorative Law and in which the creation of a Prosecutor’s Office has been created for the investigation of violations of human rights and International Humanitarian Law. This Prosecutor will also be assigned functions to promote the processes of searching for the victims of the facts under investigation, in coordination with different administrations with competences in this matter, to achieve the identification and location, a space for the participation of Institutes of Legal Medicine, as it happens in other countries of the world.
