Abstract

This year is coming to an end. Therefore, it is time to look back at what happened in 2010 regarding IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine (IEM). Good news for all of us—IEM had a high impact factor of 1.75 in the ISI Master Journal List and Journal Citation Report. Moreover, we published 17 articles covering a wide spectrum of technical committees in the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), e.g., renewable energy systems, power electronics, distributed generation, robotics, mechatronics, and automation. Two new magazine columns “Historical” and “Industry Forum” debuted this year. Some of the published articles were frequently downloaded from IEEE Xplore. Sincere thanks are given to all editorial board members, associate editors, authors, and reviewers for their tremendous effort in 2010.
