Abstract

In this paper, long-term deformation control theory of high concrete face rockfill dam (CRFD) is presented. An improved particle swarm optimization algorithm based on particle migration and radial basis function neural network is employed in parametric inversion. Based on the measured displacement data, parameters of static constitutive model and creep model that sensitive to the deformation of rockfill dam are selected for inversion. The inversed parameters are used to predict the long-term deformation of CFRD. The numerical simulation results of ShuiBuya CRFD show that the predicted settlements agree well with the measured data, and dam deformation is within a reasonable range and tending towards stability. Additionally, engineering measures of pre-settlement control are also discussed.
