Abstract

Introduction - Based on favorable survival outcome compared to open repair, thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) has become the treatment of choice in the setting of acute complicated type B aortic dissection1. It is increasingly used in treatment of chronic type B aortic dissection (CBAD)2, but the scientific basis for this is scarce. Aortic remodeling after TEVAR has been associated with improved survival, while it has been suggested that lack of aortic remodeling may be associated with worse outcome3.
