Abstract

ABSTRACTLiterary e-zines are online publications that are similar to but different from both e-journals and zines. Many literary e-zines are unstable, which makes them problematic for inclusion in online library catalogs. It may be possible to predict e-zine longevity based on the presence of given criteria. The author identified sets of criteria and applied them to a sample of literary e-zines drawn from an online directory. Some of the literary e-zines were active; others were offline. The author used the Internet Archive to study literary e-zines that were no longer online. Results will be presented and discussed in a subsequent article.
