Abstract
Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, the most prevalent enzyme deficiency in the world, can cause hemolytic episodes in response to stressors. The aim of this study was to investigate whether infants born to mothers with G6PD deficiency have higher long-term risk for hematological morbidity compared to infants born to mothers without G6PD deficiency.
