Abstract

A theoretical study is made of the structure of magnetic inhomogeneities and the spectrum of spin waves in antiferromagnets with a magnetoelectric effect. It has been established that the interaction of the inhomogeneous magnetic momentum M with the sufficiently strong magnetic field H along the "easy" axis leads to the energetic advantage of the multi-domain state with an odd number of 180-degree walls. The paper demonstrates the existence of the phenomenon of the antiferromagnetic domain structure switching when the direction of H is reversed. The dependence has been identified of the domain wall velocity on the magnetic H and the electric E fields. The authors determined the conditions for forming the long-periodic magnetic structure in magnetoelectrics affected by the fields E in the fields H, close to the magnetic sublattice flip-over field.
