Abstract
Long noncoding RNAs (LncRNAs) , a group of endogenous RNA molecules longer than 200 nucleotides in length, lack complete and specific open reading frames and have little or no protein-coding capability. They can regulate gene expressions at epigenetic, transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels, and are extensively involved in physiological and pathological processes in the body. Recent researches have indicated that LncRNAs play important roles in occurrence and development of many skin diseases, such as melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancers, psoriasis, and so on. Studies on LncRNAs may provide valuable information for prediction, diagnosis, treatment and assessment of prognosis of these diseases. Key words: Skin diseases; Psoriasis; Gene expression regulation; Biological processes; LncRNA
