Abstract

AbstractHerein, we present the synthesis of long chain NHC palladium complexes, which are soluble in lipophilic solvents, such as n‐heptane. These complexes enable the amination and hydrodehalogenation of aryl chlorides in moderate to good yields for a broad range of substrates in n‐heptane. Taking into account the caloric power of alkane solvents, such transformations could become a welcome alternative to established solvents (e.g. dioxane) from an industrial point of view.
