Abstract

Objective To investigate the risk factors of group B streptococcal infection in pregnant women during perinatal period, to provide reference for prevention and treatment of group B streptococcal infection. Methods The clinical data of 576 pregnant women were retrospectively analyzed, and group B streptococcal was cultured and measured at 35-37 weeks of pregnancy, and all patients were divided into infected group and uninfected group according to whether they were infected with group B streptococcus or not. The clinical data of the two groups were compared, and risk factors of group B streptococcal infection in perinatal period were analyzed by multivariate unconditional Logistic regression analysis. Results In 576 pregnant women, 47 cases (8.16%) were infected with the group B streptococcal. The proportion of abortion and reproductive tract infection in infection group were significantly higher than those in uninfected group, the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that reproductive tract infection and abortion history were independent risk factors for group B streptococcal infection (P<0.05). The incidences of premature and intrauterine infection in infection group were significantly higher than those in uninfected group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions The reproductive tract infection and abortion history are the independent risk factors of group B streptococcal infection, and the female reproductive health and contraception education should be strengthened to reduce the incidence of group B streptococcal infection. Key words: Maternall perinatal period; Group B streptococcal infectionl; Risk factors
