Abstract

Logarithmic perturbation theory (PT) is formulated for the screened Coulomb potential in powers of the screening parameter μ. Recurrence relations are obtained which allow one to compute successively the PT series coefficients E k for the ground state energy E = E( μ). On a number of examples we demonstrate that Padé summation of the PT series makes it possible to obtain the energy in the strong coupling region.
