Abstract
In this era of globalisation and competition, creativity is considered to be one of the key factors for survival, success and excellence of organisations. Achieving heights in today’s competitive scenario, when business are trying to occupy the prime condition in the marketplace, locus of control and organisational climate, has emerged as an elucidation for enhancing the creativity amongst managers. Besides organisational climate, managerial creativity of the employee is contingent on the attitude of a person, that is, how he relates himself to his environment. This article reports the impact of ‘Locus of Control’ and ‘Organisational Climate’ on ‘Managerial Creativity’. This idea is illustrated by conducting a survey of 100 employees that were selected from different Print and Electronic media. The z-test was applied to test the inter-cell differences between independent and dependent variables. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test was applied to find the interactive impact of locus of control and organisational climate on managerial creativity. The study reveals the fact that alone Internal Locus of Control and Favourable Organisational Climate encourages creativity.
