Key TakeawaysLocalized water infrastructure (LWI), such as demand management measures, on‐site reuse, and green infrastructure, offers solutions for communities.Drinking water providers can use LWI to increase sustainability, create resilience to climate change, protect water quality, and equitably secure local water supplies.LWI provides multiple community benefits, including equity and affordability, and supports environmental, economic, energy, and social improvements.In the United States, familiar financing approaches, including municipal bonds and state and federal loans, are already available for investing in LWI.
