Abstract
Survival kits in aviation were developed to ensure the safety and survival of pilots in adverse situations. Since the beginning of aviation in 1912, these kits have significantly evolved, incorporating essential items such as first aid supplies, inflatable boats, and signaling equipment. The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) recognizes the importance of an effective crew location system, especially in a country with vast territorial extension. Project Phoenix aims to modernize the FAB fleet and integrate location systems into survival kits, enhancing efficiency in rescue operations. The implementation of technologies like the Combat Survivor Evader Locator (CSEL) is crucial for improving safety and response capabilities in emergency situations.
