Abstract

The one-magnon excitations of anisotropic crystals with defects of different symmetry (point and plane defects) are analysed. In addition to the ordinary bulk and surface excitations the local one is considered. The state describes the defect interaction since its energy depends on the distance between the defects. It is shown that the plane defect leads to a nonthreshold excitation of the local state.
