Abstract

This research refers to a case study on Local Productive Arrangement - LPA of açaí in a Povoado 1700, in the city of Imperatriz - MA. It aims to contribute to the provision of subsidies for developing activities regarding productivity, economy and sustainability of the region’s producers and residents through the extraction, production and commercialization of this fruit, conceiving LPA as a way of enhancing results, including in the off-season. The main objective is to analyze the LPA in development around the Açaí Producers Association of Povoado 1700, in the Municipality of Imperatriz - MA. The research was mainly carried out with a quantitative-qualitative approach. As data collection instruments, we used recorded interviews and semi-structured forms via Google Forms. The perspective of LPA contribution in structuring with the sustainability of the production process was positively evaluated, taking into account, above all, the natural socio-environmental appreciation of its agents, as well as the ability to generate jobs and increase income and quality of life of the local community.
