Abstract
The object of research of this article is the analysis of state loans and guarantees in terms of normative acts and practices in the field of competition in the Republic of Moldova and at European Community level. Despite the fact that state interventions with loans and state guarantees are known in practice as a way to encourage the economy, lending and state guarantees can also have negative effects on the normal competitive environment. That is why the current trends in the practice of granting loans and state guarantees in the Republic of Moldova, as well as at the community level, are to reduce the share of state aid in GDP.
