Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate cursive italic hand writing success level of primary school students, teachers of primary education and Turkish language. Dictation text and cursive italic handwriting analytical scoring key were used to evaluate the competencies of the teachers and students in cursive italic hand writing. To ensure the validity of the measurement tools, literature search and expert opinions were consulted. For the reliability of scoring keys, adaptation level among encoders were observed (from 912 to 943; p<0.01). According to the results of our study, even if teachers of primary education ( =3.12) seem a bit ahead of teachers of Turkish language ( =3.01), the success of both groups in cursive italic handwriting is moderate.
