Abstract
Acohort study examining data from six countries has found little evidence of an association between antipsychotic exposure in the first trimester of pregnancy and increased risk of congenital malformations in children. An analysis of individual drugs and specific malformations found a small number of observed risks, but the investigators said these would need to be confirmed in additional research. Study results were published online Dec. 7, 2022, in JAMA Psychiatry.
