Abstract
Veneers are reconstructive and esthetic procedures designed to improve dental harmony and facial appearance, mainly in the anterior area of the oral cavity. A wide variety of veneers and treatment methods are available on the market, with indirect veneers being the most common. Among these are ceramic veneers, such as the so-called “contact lenses” and “micro veneers,” which are minimally invasive treatments due to their reduced thickness, ranging from 0.3 mm to 0.8 mm. This article, based on a literature review with a qualitative, descriptive and cross-sectional approach, aims to identify the optimal treatment using veneers, analyzing their benefits for patients with dental alterations that negatively impact on their emotional state and self-esteem
