Abstract
The digital era can influence human thought patterns. The development of technology and information must be balanced with each individual's understanding of literacy. Use of social media that is not ethical will have a negative impact on its users. Digital literacy is an activity to obtain information from various sources in digital form. There are 4 (four) elements of digital literacy, namely skills, culture, ethics and safety. The methods used in this service are through observation, interviews and socialization stages. This service article was analyzed descriptively qualitatively supported by experts. The result of the service carried out was that the people of Magersari Village gained knowledge conveyed directly by the presenters regarding social media skills for the community. Apart from that, the public also knows that if they find negative content, that content can be reported to the system. The Magersari Village community's understanding of digitalization has increased by 56% from the pretest and posttest that have been given. The people of Magersari Village have become wiser in operating social media. The digital literacy activities carried out can have a positive impact on the people of Magersari Village. Therefore, digital literacy needs to be developed to build national character to create a quality generation. Keywords: Digital literacy, Social media, Outreach, Elements of digital literacy
