Abstract
ABSTRACTThis research article entails the liquefaction behavior to assess the oil potential of lignite deposits of Matasukh, Nagaur from western Rajasthan, India. These lignites are “low-rank B” type. Petrographically, they are mainly dominated by huminite followed by liptinite and inertinite. The mean Rom (0.22–0.40%), H/C atomic ratio (0.68–1.01), reactive maceral content (76.10–98.10 vol% mmf, mean 90.26 vol% mmf), and volatile matter content (58.25–81.98 wt% daf) of these lignites have a favorable range required for liquefaction. The calculations show that these lignites have a high conversion rate (>95%) and oil yield (>65%).
