Abstract
The author of the article tries to identify and describe linguistic features of the interdisciplinary dialogue on the problems of artificial intelligence. Being a case study of scientific articles and official documents, it allows one to consider the formation of the image of artificial intelligence as a phenomenon of modern culture and social life. The analysis of predicates proves the idea that artificial intelligence can be viewed as an active subject similar to a person. Using metaphors in defining artificial intelligence is considered to be inappropriate. The analysis of linguistic means used in the texts dealing with the problem of artificial intelligence reveals the conditions for conceptual consideration of human nature. The conclusions point out a number of features of the interdisciplinary scientific discourse that is emerging before our eyes in the framework of the development and methodology AI, including the formation of a special image of AI by attributing actional properties to AI systems through predication; shifting the focus from the essence of the AI phenomenon to its functions and properties through the use of numerous analogies, metaphors, etc.
