Abstract

This article examines topical issues of studying archaisms, historicisms, exoticisms, ethnographicisms in the lessons of the Russian language and literary reading in the aspect of solving the problems of the national and cultural development of the country and the functioning of the Russian language in Uzbekistan. Efficiency can be achieved when solving the issues of lexicographic presentation of historicisms (with an extended linguistic and cultural commentary) and archaisms (with interpretation of meaning) as lexical units in the meanings of which many fragments of the economic, historical, social life of the people are reconstructed within a certain historical time and space.
