Abstract

AbstractThis study is interested to organizational commitment, specifically to affective, calculative and normative commitment of top executive on financial performance of Tunisian organizations. The data were collected from 38 Tunisian top executives. The findings provide that relationships between, affective and calculative commitment, on the one hand, and financial performance, on the other hand, are not significant. Furthermore, findings show that only normative commitment can be regarded as a lever of financial performance.This study seeks to exceed the major criticism addressed to the literature relating to the consequences of organizational commitment which limits performance investigation at the individual level (Fisher & al., 2010). It seeks to show that organizational commitment influences differently financial performance according to its three dimensions.
