Abstract

One new lignan glucoside, erythro-1-(4- O- β-d-glucopyranosyl-3,5-dimethyoxyphenyl)-2-syringaresinoxyl-propane-1, 3-diol, four new acetylenic glycosides, 8 E-decaene-4,6-diyn-1- O- β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1″-2′)- β-d-glucopyranoside, 8 E-decaene-4,6-diyn-1- O- β-d-apiofuranosyl-(1″–6′)- β-d-glucopyranoside, 8 E-decaene-4,6-diyn-1- O- β-d-glucopyranoside and 2 E-decaene-4,6-diyn-1- O- β-d-glucopyranoside, as well as the known syringaresinol-4′- O- β-d-glucopyranoside were isolated from roots of Aster auriculatus. They were identified on the basis of spectral data and chemical evidence.
