Abstract
As a weak-strong electric control component, the optocoupler is widely used in the power grid industry. Its service life directly determines quality and transmission efficiency of the power grid, so how to evaluate the service lifetime becomes very important. In this research activity we focused on an optocoupler from a power grid company. By analyzing the sensitive stress that leads to its degradation, four groups of accelerated life tests based on hot flash is designed, and the test data are analyzed through mathematical modeling. The outfield life of the actual working conditions is extrapolated and the results show that this method can accurately predict the optocoupler life.
