Abstract

The purpose of the research was to evaluate the impact of monthly income on oral health in children of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in Kosovo. Two hundred and one children participated in this research, in which the OHI index for permanent teeth was evaluated in cor- relation with monthly income. For H = 8.19 and p < 0.05 a significant difference was found between plaque index and monthly income. Also, for F = 3.42 and p < 0.05 there is a significant difference between the gingival index value of permanent teeth and monthly income. Economic condi- tions are among the main factors of oral health in the chil- dren of this community.
