Abstract
As a result of a field trip organised by the Spanish Lichen Society in Serranía de Ronda, south Spain, a catalogue of 360 taxa is presented (336 lichens, 24 lichenicolous fungi). The list includes three new records for the Iberian Peninsula: Arthonia paretinaria, Micarea myriocarpa and Niesslia keissleri, 51new ones for the Autonomous Andalusian Community, and three and 81 new ones for the province of Cádiz and of Málaga, respectively. After these results, the total updated number of the province of Málaga rises to 556 lichens and lichenicolous fungi. The best represented lichen genus is Cladonia (18) with the most species, unlike Lecanora (15), Pertusaria (12), Physconia (12) and Collema (9). As regard habitat, most lichen species are mainly corticolous (55%), as opposed to saxicolous (24%), terricolous (14%) as the species growing on other lichens as lichenicolous fungi (7%). The percentages of lichen growth forms are mainly foliose (50%) and crustose (31%), while fruticose (7%), crustose squamulose (6%) and dimorphic (6%) are less represented. The lichen wit

On 6-10 September 2016 the Spanish Lichen Society held its biannual Field Meeting to explore different habitats in Serranía de Ronda, which includes 17 sites in the province of Málaga and two in the province of Cádiz (Figure 1) in cooperation with the Mandragora group in this occasion
The average altitude for Ronda Plateau varies between 500-700 m and the highest elevation is Torrecilla peak (1918 m) of the Sierra de las Nieves in the White Mountains
Bioclimatology encompasses the meso, supra— and oromediterranean belts located in the phytosociological Rondeño sector in the Baetic chorological province (Rivas-Martínez et al 2002)
Summary
On 6-10 September 2016 the Spanish Lichen Society held its biannual Field Meeting to explore different habitats in Serranía de Ronda, which includes 17 sites in the province of Málaga and two in the province of Cádiz (Figure 1) in cooperation with the Mandragora group in this occasion (which belongs to the Serranía de Ronda Studies Association). Serranía de Ronda is located northwest of the province of Málaga and constitutes one of the six districts into which the province is divided. It has a rugged relief and a high rainfall regime (usually above 800 mm/year). Later other extensive and monographic works (Sampaio 1917, Abbayes 1945, Degelius 1954, Poelt & Krüger 1970, Werner 1979) included material from the province of Málaga; Seaward (1983) provided the first list of the province of Malaga which includes 245 lichen species with several collections from Serranía de Ronda. Subsequent provincial additions by Martín-Osorio (1988), Seaward Arvidson (1997) and Herrera et al (2007), along with several new references in extensive works increased the number of species cited for the province of Málaga to 425 taxa (Burgaz 2014)
