Abstract
Depth profiles of Li in Au/LiMn2O4(LMO)/LATP/Ge/(Au and Al) were measured by means of elastic recoil detection (ERD) and Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS) techniques. The charging and discharging characteristics indicated that the Au/LiMn2O4(LMO)/LATP/Ge/(Au and Al) batteries were rechargeable. The Ge-Au alloy was formed by diffusion of Au into Ge during the sample preparation and under discharging and subsequent to charging, while no reaction took place at the interface of Al/Ge. These data are discussed in terms of difference in work functions between Au and Al due to the transport fraction of Li+ ions in LATP less than unity.
