Kundel, Brecher, Bodey, and Brittin (1) recently have studied a group of patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia and increased bone marrow reticulin, in which six patients were also found to have bone and marrow necrosis. Their results suggested that the clinical course of this group was characterized by bone pain, long periods of leukopenia, and poor response to therapy. Bone necrosis was found to occur much more frequently in acute lymphocytic leukemia than in acute myelogenous leukemia.In order to determine if the above suggested features...
