Abstract

The Teacher in Review program is an action research program designed for teachers in a Quaker (Friends) school. It was designed with the intent to serve as a form of teacher evaluation. We systematically designed and engaged in a qualitative research study to inform our understanding of action research as a form of teacher evaluation. However, as the study unfolded it became clear there was evidence of Quakerism within the process. This study enables us to begin to consider the unique nature of Quaker pedagogy in teacher evaluation.
