Abstract
<h3>To the Editor.</h3> —In a paper in theArchivestitled "Granulomatous Choroiditis in a Case of Disseminated Histoplasmosis" (90:45, 1973), Dr. Gordon Klintworth and his co-workers state that Hoefnagels and Pijers (<i>Am J Ophthalmol</i>63:717, 1967) reported the isolation of<i>Histoplasma capsulatum</i>from the eye of a patient with panophthalmitis. This is erroneous. Hoefnagels and Pijers were able to demonstrate histopathologically an organism with the characteristic morphologic features of<i>Histoplasma</i>from ocular tissue and the isolation of<i>Histoplasma</i>was made from a gingivitis of the right side of the lower jaw. Material from the vitreous and anterior chamber was negative for culture and direct smear tests. This correction by no means is intended to detract from an excellent article written by Dr. Klintworth and his group.
