Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this paper is to analyze the deployment of forces in expeditionary operations, in relation to the operations performed in the past by the modern armed forces. Thus, the intention is to approach the deployment of forces by identifying the most important actions, practical and decisional landmarks, which have decisively influenced the strategic maneuver, reception, staging and onward movement processes, in order to integrate forces in the contemporary theaters of operations. Going straight for the stated objectives, I conducted a multiple-case study, based on reviewing the relevant available literature, in order to efficiently access all the elements in the concerned field of interest.
