Abstract
This paper presents the benchmark examples from IEEE standard 1597 to evaluate their practical modeling and simulation. Three benchmark examples: a dipole antenna, a loop antenna, and a rectangular cavity with two apertures are considered. Three different numerical techniques are applied in all examples and these numerical results obtained by the different numerical techniques are compared and discussed by the validation procedure in IEEE standard 1597.
