Abstract

During the Eburnean orogeny, the Toulepleu-Ity Birrimian unit and the Logoualé Archean rocks underwent a discontinuous two-phase (prograde-retrograde and retrograde) metamorphism associated with the D1 tangential and D2 transcurrent tectonism. The burial of the rocks (8 and 14 kbar) is attributed to crustal thickening through tectonic stacking.
